- Who are we
- Connecting the three verticals
A resilient community of life-long learners. That’s the future we see for everyone. Sounds crazy ambitious right! So what are we actually doing about it?
We work in three key areas.
We are working across three verticals at the moment:
Third Space – creating opportunities spaces for people (young and old) to learn freely and explore new interests and areas of knowledge.
10 lakh vriksh – connecting Udaipurites to plant and nurture 1 million trees in and around the city so we can all reconnect to nature and a sense of adventure.
Sanskriti – capturing and sharing the ancient wisdom in old Sanskrit manuscripts by making digital texts of 2.5 million manuscripts available online.
These are very different areas of work, and they are built on two key ideas.
Learning is the ultimate equaliser – we can all do it. All it needs is a mind open to all kinds of thoughts from anywhere or anyone, and the grit to make sense of them and use them. We hope our programmes will nurture this openness and grit.
