Hi, I’m Aditya! As someone who likes to meet, talk with, and learn from different people, I found that as an external liaison coordinator at Dharohar.
I remember the very first time I learned about them. They were not just making people plant trees. They cared enough to share information on how to plant, what things to use and how to maintain the growth. This grabbed my attention and I noticed there was a hunger for learning. I wondered how great things would have turned out, if I had the chance to learn new things like these as a kid.
On a different note, I like to think of myself as a street connoisseur of our “City of Lakes”. I can help you find great spots to hangout, shop and things like that. If you’re new here, let me welcome you to our city. I hope you have a blast here!

Hello, I’m Arpita! I work as a content writer and trainer at Dharohar. I am a big fan of science, love reading literature and writing poetry. I get to share my love of Science with volunteers and kids in schools through our awesome programmes.
You can always find me reading some random articles (this is how my learning happens) or discussing current affairs passionately.
I believe that if I simplify my life, I can make sure that I don’t add to the waste. So, I don’t usually order food because they use a lot of plastic and I care for nature too much to do that. When I buy vegetables, I don’t accept their polythene bags, I carry my own. Honestly, I don’t do it every single time but my intention is to do it as much as possible.
The way I’ve been brought up, reflecting on things, my actions and my learning has become second nature. I believe you can bring change by taking small steps that you think is necessary.

Hi, I’m Aru and the first thing you should know about me is that I love chocolates! I started as an assistant but when I became a part of Dharohar, I realized my potential beyond this role over time. Now over two years later I am a content designer and maker.
Everyone express themselves differently, in my case, it is art more than words (I am learning Turkish though). It’s not just limited to art, I express through a variety of creative outlets which I get to explore through fun time, learning time and TSM activities at Dharohar.
I might not always actively seek new opportunities but I am on the watch for them. And when they show up, I take them up like a child on the arrival of an ice cream truck.
I can safely say I’m a good listener (human mind tickles my curiosity) and if you ever need help, just yell.
Dharohar is like a family. We laugh, we argue, we stand for one another and that’s how we get the work done. Dharohar has taught me “team work makes the dream work”.

What gives me joy? Working with a closely connected team; a team that treats each other like family. (Also, playing table tennis!) And this is one force that keeps inspiring me to move ahead.
We, at Dharohar, are all jugglers here with freedom, accountability, fairness and equality as our balls. The latter two reflects in all of our processes, I think. And it’s damn important too because if one feels like not being treated fairly, you don’t feel that ‘Apnapan’.
I’ve worked at Secure for more than two decades and been familiar with Dharohar. Now I am excited to lead its empowered and aligned team as the Chief operating officer. I love to reach out and support people in being emotionally strong. I strongly believe that in human life, learning is one thing that never stops.

I am curious about people and love to talk to them. I used to hesitate a lot when approaching new people but now I’m more open to ask first or initiate a conversation. I started seeing this change in college but it cemented itself in Dharohar.
Being nervous by temperament and this being my first job and first set of training, obviously I was nervous talking to more experienced people. And somehow here, I had Arpita who made me comfortable enough to ask for help.
I not only watched her deliver sessions but also asked her to attend my first LATTU training. This helped me a lot. Now during trainings, I am confident enough to make volunteers feel confident.
Slightly unrelated but I love dancing because it helps release stress and calms me down. Flexibility is important to me. When it comes to picking music, I gravitate towards up-tempo songs (dhoom dhadake wale gaane) because they let me channelise my energy.

Hi, my name is Kriti. I am a graphic designer by training and love to create/design new activities. I am always looking for new ideas and learning. I love doing different kind of artsy-craftsy things like doodling, clay modelling, making something out of scrap (I also collect scrap!).
While I was working at Secure, the work at Dharohar had just started to pick up pace. Khoj visits to School had started and the team constantly needed something or the other design wise. I became their go-to designer and I loved the jugadoo nature of work there because it let me think on my feet, express creatively and bond with people.
After doing this for three to four years, I wanted to do this as a job. It was almost like my wish had been heard by the people around me somehow. Universe kept throwing balls in my court and the rest is history.

Hi, I’m Kunal. I work as a graphic designer at Dharohar. I am fairly new here and it takes time for me to open up and express myself. I ask a lot of questions and they have always been answered here. It makes me feel that my questions and my curiosity matters.
I am used to keeping to myself and working quietly in a corner. But the fun and open environment here is a fresh experience. Here, I am learning to work and have fun at the same time. I enjoy working with my colleagues a lot. So much so that I miss working at office, miss that atmosphere while working at home.
I like to draw, paint and play video games. It helps me increase my creativity, my focus and comes in handy while working on the graphic designs.

Hello, I’m Manish Rathore. You can call me a problem solver of Dharohar. I’ve worked for a gaming company, an electronics manufacturing company and now I work for a non-profit organisation. What an odd career trajectory. That’s because I crave for a new experience, new learning and like to challenge myself.
I love sports such as table tennis and football because you get to explore your limits and see what you can do physically (also don’t mind the adrenaline rush that comes with it). At home you can find me experimenting in the kitchen often.
When in doubt, you are welcome to ask questions, and I will try my best to answer. I love building connections, so much so, that you can often see me answering a mail or attending a call in the office.

If you look at me now, you might not guess “a rock-climbing, science enthusiast” but that’s how I started. Since then, I have run a clothing brand, raised three considerate kids, and run design and comms for an international business. Through these experiences, I realised that I’m like that piece of rock which when hit with another creates a spark; I try to connect and collaborate in every space of my life.
I have never shied away from an opportunity to learn or try new things, no matter how challenging. I love to share what I’ve learnt with excitement verging on incoherence, not thinking that others may not be as excited about it.
I strongly believe that you can never learn in a comfortable space. You have to allow yourself to fall down before you can walk with a stronger footing. I care deeply about my city, Udaipur and its community, that’s why we started 10 lakh vriksh. And I am very happy to be working with many on this special project as it continues to grow.

Hi there! I am Rohit. I am responsible for forming sustainable partnerships for Dharohar. I also make sure that all the programmes run as planned, their objectives are met and people in the team feel inspired and motivated.
Udaipur is my birthplace, and I have completed some part of my studies here. My work before joining here took me to a lot of places around the world. However, now I realise that the farther I went, the more it made sense to come back. I am a foodie and can’t stop thinking about stuff which I like to eat which is vegetarian food and a lot of sweets… Yummy no? I also love traveling as it gives me a chance to learn about other cultures and also to reflect on what I am doing.
I feel good as long as I am of use to people around me and can learn from them. At Dharohar, I get a chance to share my experiences and together work on building the community that we all want to be a part of.

Namaste, I am Saket. I love trekking and hiking at jungle. I can help you find new places for shopping, trekking, etc.
I have lived life through jumping, sports or just any kind of physical activity because I have a lot of energy to give. I continue to get to use that energy in Dharohar by having to climb the hills at Jungle, extracting plants from nurseries among other things.
I must tell you one thing about myself is that I can concentrate when I want (also I am diplomatic). Like this one time, I had to do something I don’t particularly enjoy but I could use my ability to concentrate to do it well. (I am looking at you, content writing!)
Diversity of life on earth excites me. The work I do at Dharohar allows me to work on something that is my passion. And I would love to continue to get opportunities that allow me to keep learning in this field. If not, I would just keep jumping some more.

Hi, I am “Rajdhani”, aka Shivani; I have a bad habit of getting super excited about an idea and then running off at 100 miles an hour. So, please, if you’re ever lost, stop me and ask! I’m trying to slow down, and reminders help! I’m also a big believer in making and learning from mistakes, so I make lots of them! I love pulling people’s legs, learning new stuff and asking questions.
I do two main things in Dharohar; helping the team be as awesome as we can and making sure all the little things we do are taking us in the right “big” direction. Sometimes this means cleaning a desk, sometimes speaking at a conference, and sometimes just lots of silent reflection. I love the diversity of my work, and the team – it keeps me energised and challenged at all times. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me falling over, lost in a book or climbing something.

I am Dr Tripti Joshi. I have Ph. D in Environmental Sciences and I manage 10 lakh vriksh programme at Dharohar. If you don’t see me in the office, I’m probably at ‘Jungle’.
I am nature lover and love to explore new places also I love yoga, cooking and sometimes sketching.
I think I am good at time management; I can help in topics related to science.
From Jungle program I have learnt volunteer management, illustration of plants in most effective and simple way, various uses of different plant species and if you are keen for your goal you can achieve anything in life.
I love to explore new places (not just ghumna, to explore and learn about different cultures, biodiversity). Self-learner when it comes YOGA and wishes to be a master at it. In my free time, I like to doodle or do some artsy stuff.
When I was teaching in college (14 years), I felt like I was stuck in a rut because it didn’t give me space to do something new. But deep down I wanted to do something that could connect me more to nature and my love for it. The biggest thing I’ve learned at Dharohar is to ask questions time and time again. Even when people get sick of it – keep asking. I encourage my daughter to ask questions as well and when I don’t know an answer, I tell her that I don’t and I learn myself and then share that with her.
