“Learning happens everywhere – listening to a song in a new language, fixing your ceiling fan or a broken toy. It is up to us. Every single one of us.”

Why we exist

There are more opportunities than ever, and yet huge challenges too. Whether we look at social media addiction, polarisation, rising inequality, there are things to be fixed. And nobody is going to come and fix them for us. It is up to us. Every single one of us.

And there are people doing AMAZING things. How can we make Udaipur a community where more people can get together around these amazing things, can show up to make a difference and build a better city?

That’s what our work is all about – building a resilient community of life-long learners Because these challenges mean that we will need to keep learning, and no, that doesn’t mean lectures, thick textbooks and exams!

Learning happens everywhere – listening to a song in a new language, fixing your ceiling fan or a broken toy, sharing stories with your grand mom or granddaughter. And as we learn and explore, we make new opportunities and find ways to solve the challenges we and our communities face. And this is the root of resilience.

As people volunteer, they learn new skills and they see the impact they’re making. They gain the confidence to do more and be more. This helps them, their businesses and our community too – a win-win-win!
